Gelaskins
I happened to talk to someone who wants to develop a visual designers’ playground where they can build up a commercial ecosystem. The idea was obviously inspired by Apple’s Apps store. Our question was what would be the best medium to deliver creative work. We wanted something low-cost, low-key and able to be widely used. At first I was thinking about cutting boards or paper files, but then my curiosity led me to find this cool company.
It seems like they are doing a great job finding or connecting with talented artists and providing them with a tool to reach a wide range of customers. I’ve seen similar companies, but Gelaskins has the artwork that I would actually pay for.
